People in The Americas, Africa, South Asia and South East Asia making measurable progress in transforming their lives as they step out of extreme poverty.

HOPE International Development Agency is compelled by compassion and the inherent worth and potential of every person. We respond to the realities of overlooked families living in poverty with sustainable, people-led development.

Who We Are

Poverty is much more than people trying to live on a little more than $2 a day. The root causes of poverty extend beyond a lack of basic necessities like clean water, sanitation, nutritious food, reliable shelter, education, and access to healthcare. Land security, ethnicity and inequity, conflict, climate change and disasters, poor service infrastructure, lack of economic opportunity, and multi-generational poverty that traps families in a permanent cycle of poverty are also contributors.

Understanding Poverty

Stopping the generational cycle of poverty through integrated, sustainable initiatives

Being community-led means we work with partners based in their countries who engage directly with local community leaders and members to start and continue the journey out of poverty in ways best suited to their situation and vision for their lives and community.
